Newaza “The Caressing Style” of Yukimura Haruki

Preview not available.

Newaza in combination with Shuchinawa is the technique of erotic floor Shibari/Kinbaku that has been refined into an erogenous art form by the great Yukimura Haruki. Dubbed “the caressing style” by aficionados, it’s rare for Westerners to get a chance to see this unique type of tying. Happily for us, Osada Steve and his lovely partner Asagi Ageha leave their usual high-flying, tsuri-dominated, stage venue for a turn on the Futon and it’s a decided pleasure to go along for the ride.

Proving themselves every bit as adept on the ground as in the air, Steve and Ageha give a performance of languid erotic heat – a summer evening of Shibari. Beginning with his beautiful partner in his arms, Osada Steve first ties her wrists then her ankles to create a Kenmono Shibari, of varying possibilities. Always lovely to watch, Ageha’s face clearly reflects the slowly building sexual tension as Osada Steve ties, caresses, pins, releases and binds again his most expressive partner.

Rhythm and pace are key to erotic Newaza and Osada Steve shows his mastery here, as well. The pace is slow but builds, the rhythm languid but fascinating. Even the one-camera position adds to the power of this fine and brave performance and reveals the potential power of Newaza and Shuchinawa. Mesmerizing.
